BAGHDAD, Aug. 25 (VOI) - Iraqi Premier Nouri al-Maliki on Monday said that Iraq will not hold any agreement with the U.S. without full sovereignty and a timetable for the withdrawal of the foreign troops, referring to a big progress in the Iraqi-U.S. negotiations in this regard.

"Iraq will not hold any agreement or treaty on the basis of one foreign soldier's presence on the Iraqi lands, but through putting a specified timetable for the withdrawal of the foreign troops," al-Maliki said during a tribal conference in Baghdad, which was attended by Aswat al-Iraq - Voices of Iraq - (VOI).

"Big progress is currently taking place in the Iraqi-U.S. negotiations to put the final touches on the mutual agreement," he added.
