The district of Hamar Weyne, south of Mogadishu turned to a scene of plunder, indecent abuse and torture after the attackers, who had been chased out of other districts in the capital, got the better of the area's unarmed civilians, a Press TV correspondent reported.
The gunmen, who belonged to the president's clan Majerteen, were joined by other aggressors allied to the former Mogadishu mayor Mohamed Omar Habeeb Dheere.
