Voter Supression Reports in Pro-Obama Murray St. (KY) University
May 20, 2008
This just in from Trey Grayson's office:
The State Board of Elections has received a number of inquiries about a rumor circulating around the Commonwealth stating that voters must have voted in the primary election to be eligible to vote in the general election. Secretary of State Trey Grayson wanted to address those rumors via the following statement:
“According to the number and location of many calls, there appears to be a coordinated effort to spread misinformation in today’s election. If a citizen is a legitimately registered voter, his or her participation in the primary election will not affect his or her eligibility to participate in the general election. While I encourage every citizen to vote today, it is inappropriate for people to spread these falsehoods.”

Ron Paul Republican B.J. Lawson has won his House of Representitives primary in North Carolina’s 4th District with 70% of the vote! This represents a long overdue start in the shift in what it means to be a Fiscally Conservative Republican that believes in individual rights and Liberty. Here is a quote off his site: “We are ready to embrace a federal government that focuses on its Constitutional responsibilities, and stops being a suffocating burden that will haunt our children and grandchildren.” North Carolina’s 4th District got the message, now it’s time to get the rest of the country on board.
SIOUX FALLS, S.D.: Former Sen. George McGovern, an early supporter of Hillary Rodham Clinton, urged her to drop out of the Democratic presidential race and endorsed her rival, Barack Obama.
***But Obama has won the nomination “by any practical test” and is very close to a majority of the pledged delegates, said McGovern, who is 85. Obama moved within 200 delegates of clinching the nomination with his split decision on Tuesday of a win in North Carolina and a narrow loss in Indiana.
It’s time to unite the Democratic Party, he said.
“Hillary, of course, will make the decision as to if and when she ends her campaign. But I hope that she reaches that decision soon so that we can concentrate on a unified party capable of winning the White House next November,” he said.

I was just contacted by a good friend in Granville County about what is turning into, at best a problem, but most likely IMO, a concerted effort to supress Democrats from voting in Granville County. From her message:
They opened the doors at 6:30 and we were 4th and 5th in line at the A-H table. There was a problem with the first guy in line. They got him out of line and I don't know where he went. I think they got him a provisional ballot. The next lady's name was on the list and she voted.
However, they couldn't find person #3's name in the book either. She was upset because she has been a registered voter in Granville County for many years. Next-my turn. My name is not there. Neither is ******* nor *******. WTF? I also told the lady that I have been registered to vote in Granville County for 14 years AND have voted in every election. I know this because I looked it up when you gave me the sample ballot webpage! WTF?

In April 2008 when Indiana Secretary of State Todd Rokita announced the release of "record high" voter registration rolls, with 4.3 million voters set to vote in the Tuesday May 6 primary, he didn't mention that a whopping 1,134,427 voter registrations have been cancelled.
Now, the voter rolls are supposed to be tidied up prior to each election. Indiana's last general election was in Nov. 2006, and they have had a slew of special and general elections since then. So how have 1.1 million voters -- 26 percent of the current statewide list -- escaped the regularly scheduled voter registration cleanup squads? Who are these million voters and where do they come from?
One quarter-million of them come from just two northwestern Indiana counties: Lake and Porter. Lake County reports purging 137,164 voters and neighboring Porter County cancelled out 124,958 voters.
