Lew Rockwell discusses his recent talk at the Future of Freedom Foundation conference about modern wars’ dependence on inflation by the Federal Reserve, how the Fed fueled WWI to help the Morgan empire, why governments prefer to debase a currency rather than tax or borrow, how the Fed not only inflates the currency but redistributes wealth from the poor to the politically-connected rich, creates the booms and busts of the business cycle, and makes the warfare state possible, the government’s corruption of language to hide it’s crimes, importance of Austrian economic thought and how all acts committed by the state would be crimes if carried out by regular citizens.

Sibel Edmonds and Luke Ryland discuss the London Times series on her case and the international nuclear black-market network surrounding A.Q. Kahn, the U.S. government’s total clamp-down by gag orders even against Congress, the American foreign policy hypocrisy of demonizing certain nuclear ambitions and supporting others, the military-industrial-congressional complex revolving door, the bipartisan lack of enthusiasm in pursuing whistleblower cases, the movie about Sibel’s case “Kill The Messenger,” and how it only takes one congressman to call her to testify to blow the case wide open.

Better Idea
Mr. Reagan, You are clearly delusional. Apparently, you are unaware that your comments are a direct criminal threat, and, because you utilized a medium, that allowed your recorded Terroristic declaration of the intention to end the life of an American Citizen, who was covered under the First Amendment in his opinions, you have now entered the realm of George Bush's, 'protectionary stratergery', which, as it has been written, states that your detention, trial, and sentence require a standard of judgment, from the Prosecution, that falls short of the common 'reasonable doubt', in order for you to be immediately prosecuted. You claiming to be on the side of our President, is ridiculous. He simply does not endorse this type of full-on irrationality. At least, not that I could imagine. You are either too arrogant (for reasons that are, again, clear evidence of a degree of Paranoia and Mental Illness, but certainly not insanity), or just too undereducated to recognize that you have violated laws that should be an open and shut case. The evidence is simple and recorded. You could not argue this case, especially post 9/11, under any existing precedent or legal statute. I am referring this to a list of around 1,000 independent journalists, Media professors, Constitutional Rights attorneys, and Former Secret Agents of the Federal Bureau Of Investigation, in Washington D.C., where my grandfather was an Agent, from 1944-1969. We need to make certain that those who challenge Patriotism and dissent, and make a mockery of [what's left] of the Constitution, are punished in a fashion that fits a traitor. We must use you as the example of the line between the right to free speech, and a blatant, 'Aggravated Criminal Threat', via wiretap, and why, the line should never be crossed. Such behavior must be swiftly brought before a Grand Jury and tried to the full extent of law. My IP address is 192.168.1.02, If that saves you the time. I do not cower behind the truth. If you think the President would publicly support your Felonious and Violent threat, you must need to be taken out of society, as a dangerous individual with a weapon and an empty mind is a direct threat to the security of our Nation.
In Disgust, Dr. P.S. Quinn

“Excuse me folks, I’m going to say this. We ought to find the people who are doing this, take them out and shoot them. Really. You take them out, they are traitors to this country, and shoot them. You have a problem with that? Deal with it. You shoot them. You call them traitors, that’s what they are, and you shoot them dead. I’ll pay for the bullets.”
Reagan adds, “How about you take Mark Dice out and put him in the middle of a firing range. Tie him to a post, don’t blindfold him, let it rip and have some fun with Mark Dice.”

Amy Goodman Talks to Robert Scheer about ‘The Pornography of Power’
Indefensible spending
You wouldn't know it from the most-exhausting-ever presidential primary campaigns, but the 2009 defense budget commits the United States to spending more (again, in real dollars) to defeat a ragtag band of terrorists than it spent at the height of the Cold War fighting the Soviet superpower and what we alleged were its surrogates in the Korean and Vietnam wars.
The Pentagon's budget for fiscal year 2008 set a post-World War II record at $625 billion, and that does not include more than $100 billion in other federal budget expenditures for homeland security, nuclear weapons and so-called black budget -- or covert -- operations.
